Vijay Kumar Negi is a Technical Solutions Engineer with over 15 years of experience in Networking. With a CCIE certification and JNCIS-SP and JNCIA certifications from Cisco and Juniper Networks respectively, he has extensive knowledge of routing protocols such as Eigrp, Ospf, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, VPNv4, ISIS-SR, L2 protocols including STP, RSTP, PVST+, MSTP, and multicast routing such as PIM DM and SM. Vijay is also well-versed in DC Overlay - VxLan (HER, CVX, eVPN) and has worked with Arista, Juniper, and Cisco products. Currently, Vijay works as a Tech Lead - Technical Solutions Engineer at Arista Networks, where he works on cutting-edge data center technologies with Arista customers. His job responsibilities include troubleshooting complex/escalated issues in Data center and SDN field, providing in-depth root cause analysis for any outages/issues in Data Center Networks, assisting Arista customers and partners with complex networking and platform architecture issues using learned analytical problem-solving skills, and regularly liaising with internal development teams to further assist customers. Prior to Arista Networks, Vijay worked as an Adv. TAC Engineer at Juniper Networks, where he took ownership of high priority or sensitive customer issues and ensured prompt service restoration and resolution to the customer's satisfaction, by using a systematic problem-solving approach. He has also worked as a Sr. Network Architect at Mahindra Satyam, where he was responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN solutions like Switching, Routing, IPv6. Vijay has an Advanced Diploma in Electronics Design & Automation from cedti, Mohali, and a Three Years Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Govt. Polytechnic Nainital. He is a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience of 20.63 years.
